Frequently Asked Questions
What is AmeriZone?
AmeriZone is a national permit expediting firm that offers fixed-cost permitting assistance anywhere in the U.S.
What makes AmeriZone different?
Unlike many of our national competitors, AmeriZone provides its permitting services through a nationwide network of locally-based professionals. All of our work is performed in-person by experienced professionals and coordinated by a dedicated project manager at AmeriZone’s home office.
Why are locally based services better?
When it comes to dealing with local permitting authorities, having a person on the ground is critical. Anyone can try to manage the permitting process from a distance using phone and mail. But the best way to work with local authorities and personalities is to have a face, not a voice, associated with the application. That’s why we believe that “Local Makes the Difference.”
What professional credentials are required to be an AmeriZone consultant?
AmeriZone carefully screens its network applicants based on their professional experience and their familiarity with their local communities. At minimum, AmeriZone’s professionals must be members of a national professional association that deals with local code compliance (such as the American Planning Association, the AIA or an association of government officials), and have significant experience in handling local permitting requirements in the public or private sector.
How does AmeriZone manage assignments from its clients?
AmeriZone prefers to accept projects with multiple locations that require permitting. Each project is assigned a project manager who becomes the client’s single point of contact for the duration of the job.
When a list of sites is received, the project manager identifies the local professional consultants who will be responsible for each location. The consultant is provided with the client’s scope of work and asked to perform a due diligence analysis to determine all local permits and approvals that will be required.
Our consultants’ due diligence analysis is entered into AmeriZone’s on-line database, and AmeriZone’s project manager coordinates the receipt of all materials needed for filing the application (drawings, licenses, insurance certificates, etc.). Once received, the project manager forwards all materials to the local consultant for filing.
The local consultant becomes the town’s single point of contact for questions and concerns that may arise during plan review. Issues are conveyed to the project manager who, in turn, coordinates the response.
When a permit is ready, AmeriZone’s local consultant personally picks up the permit, and those materials are forwarded to our headquarters for dissemination to the general contractor or other client-designated recipients.
How does AmeriZone provide progress reports to the client?
AmeriZone’s project manager is personally available to the client for any questions, concerns or reports that become necessary.
In addition, AmeriZone has developed a proprietary on-line database that provides its clients with on-line access to status reports on a 24/7 basis.
